How will my donation be used?
Your donation enables our work across health, inclusive education, livelihood, and humanitarian action. With decades of experience and partnerships with local organizations, we ensure your contribution reaches the communities that need it most. Every donation is used efficiently and transparently, with regular monitoring to maximize impact and create lasting change for persons with disabilities and marginalized communities.
Why should I donate to CBM India?
We have been a trusted development organization active in India since 1967, registered as a Trust since 1994. We are registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, hold FCRA approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs, have 12A registration with the Income Tax Department, and are empaneled with NITI Aayog’s NGO Darpan. Our audited accounts and FCRA details are publicly available on our website.
What happens after I become a sponsor for a child?
We maintain complete transparency in how your sponsorship is used. You'll receive regular updates about your sponsored child's progress and reports about community initiatives. Our programs are regularly monitored to ensure effective use of funds.
How is the sponsored child selected?
While we hope for long-term commitment as it helps us plan better, we understand that circumstances can change. You can discontinue your sponsorship by informing us. We ensure that sponsored children continue receiving support through our programs.
Can I write to or meet my sponsored child?
You can send greetings and messages to your sponsored child through us on special occasions. However, direct contact or meetings with sponsored children are not encouraged to ensure their safety and well-being.
Is my donation to CBM India exempt from tax?
Yes, all donations are 50% exempt from tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Tax exemption is valid only in India.
What if I need to discontinue or pause my sponsorship/regular donation?
While we hope for long-term commitment as it helps us plan better, we understand that circumstances can change. You can write to donorsupport@cbmindia.org or call us at 9663301134, and we will help you discontinue or pause your sponsorship or regular donation. We’ll guide you through the process and hope you’ll consider returning when the time feels right. We ensure that our program participants continue receiving support through our initiatives.
